Big milestone for me today

So this morning, my youngest son headed off to start his first day at college. He is in the honors program at Louisville University with a business major and some engineering.

Hard to believe how fast the time goes!

Wow congrats Don!
I'm sure that young man will go far with the role models he has had along the way.

It sure is tough watching them grow up sometimes. I remember dropping my daughter off on her first day of school. That was a long long time ago. :(

The only bad thing...we're going to have another Cardinal Fan on here I'm afraid. :(:D:(:D

You folks are right, his mother IS a great role model for him. If only she could have done better with me! She and I have our 25th anniversary this September and she still has not been able to keep me in line.

Happy Anniversary, Don!

Just wait until your son graduates from college...my son will graduate in December. It seems unreal that he's finishing college and not elementary school. (The good news is, I still have a couple semesters to go and determined to match or exceed his 3.9 GPA...hahahahaha! Momma's been hanging right in there with him! :D

My little brother starts his freshman year of college soon and just that is making me feel old. haha

I remember my first day at college as probably the most miserable day of my life. Glad I stuck it out and eventually came to enjoy it. That was in the bad old days when it took two days to register for classes the old fashioned way; in the gym with tables set up everywhere.

Nope, $95 is my number for memberships..

Now, non member rates may go up someday if fuel does not come back down, but I have no plans of raising the membership anytie soon.

Kid got good enough grades and did enough extra curricular stuff to get a full ride, meal plan, housing... everything.

Good kid.

I would like to zing Don about the getting old thing but I have no room in that area. Granddaughter starts college this year. That makes two grandkids at Lindsey Wilson this fall. I will have to find a different topic to rag on Don.:lol:lol

Perhaps it is not that you are getting old, it is just that you got an earlier start with family life. Yeah, that's it, an earlier start.:cool:

Congratulations, Captain Don!

And don't worry about your son going to the University of Louisville too much. Our oldest graduated for there with a Master's (Speed School of Engineering) and he turned out OK anyway. He is a huge UK Wildcat fan now. Really!
