Changing names

The LCNN name is officially being changed to LCDC (Lake Cumberland Dot Com). In the beginning of the forum, LCNN (Lake Cumberland News Network) was used primarily to report news in the Lake Cumberland area. These days, it was being used more as "the voice" for the forum and not so much for news anymore.

In addtion, recently a local radio channel has begun a Lake Cumberland News Network, and they have asked us to stop using the name as to avoid any confusion between us and them. Always happy to help wherever possible.

So new name, same function. Oh, and new avatar. Just wanted to post to avoid any confusion.

Wondered about that myself.
Thought you bought a Nissan with a front vanity plate:P.
Is that LCNN a reg. trademark? 104.9fm has been doing LCNN since they changed from KNN (Kentucky News Network).

Oh,.............. you went there didn't you?

Knowing how you don't normally go flying off of cliffs without being pushed I would say you may know more than us mushrooms.

Yeah, I threw a little teaser out there. The pennants and other things are something I have been hoping for, for a long time now. :D

Its unfortunately not in the works right now but could happen some day. Believe it or not, I don't think its entirely a money issue. ;)

The logo (and avatar) is a bit of a tribute to the guys who started the website and hopefully is being carried on as it was meant to be.

Thanks, LCDC. I was just a tiny little part at the beginning of this Forum and site and can claim no credit but, on behalf of those who started it and can no longer respond, Thank You for your consideration.

And, BTW, Welcome Aboard, LCDC !!!!
Sure, you have been here 2-3 years, but in light of recent activity, you deserve a new WELCOME ...:)

New logo made me think of the once talked about LC.com flag design that would make a great addition to Forum members' boats.;)

What's left of my designer juices says tweek it by enlarging the boat/wake approx 50% so that the bow of the boat is near the 'C' which would also help make the proportion more like a flag.

Can I change or modify my current username without having to creat a totally new profile? I'd like to add the word "retired" to my current username without starting a new account. Can that be done?

He has never really said what he wants his new ID to be.

I'll be glad to change it whenever he gives me the new name.

I was thinking "Call 911 in case of an emergency" but that's too long. :D

In your retirement (since we have already hacked the heck out of LCDC's thread :o ) would you mind doing some Consulting and maybe handle all the training for new hires etc? lol That suuuure would be nice. :P We appreciate your years of getting the job done, protecting our natural resources, keeping us all safe from the idiots but also having some common sense and putting a smile to the uniform.
