I too think the Marina is getting better by the day. But since this thread was about the cafe I just wanted people to NOT expect breakfast as at the
time when I posted the website said they were open for breakfast. (that was changed on the page rather quickly after my post and that is a good thing
so others don't make the cruise or walk for nothing) Now for me I like someone to fix my breakfast for me when I am taking some time off. I also
don't want my wife to be that person as she does more than her share. (I think all would agree that has to be a tough role lol). Once I go out for
the day however I like to get anchored in a quiet cove and stay for a while so lunch and sometimes dinner is on the boat. (now more so than before).
Did not know about AII having a good breakfast. For me I ended up going to JRM. Sure hope WCM gets a full schedule at some point as it really looks
like it will be a nice place. Hopefully they get a better slip map as they sent me to the wrong slip and then had to have me move to another slip
because of their interpretation of their dated map. lol, argh. It had to be the guy with a boat he has not yet mastered getting in a slip yet. lol

Alli II has a great grill and their breakfast is great. I haven't ever had a disappointing meal there and they are normally very friendly.

As I understand it Wolf Creek is leasing the restaurant part of the marina, to an establishment in Lexington for the season. I have heard that this
establishment specializes in bar-b-que etc. fare. Which would explain why the bar-b-que I had Memorial weekend was so dag gone good, and would lend
credence as to why no breakfast is on offer.
The menu is interesting at least (who cares about the price we are sitting 24 inches from the water for crying out loud!)and Aquabrit and I are loking
forward to our dining experience.
Oh and by the way I wish that you two pinheads would just kiss and make up

I'll have to agree with RELAX. I spent Father's Day lunch with my Dad, my brother and our families at Fishtales. You can not beat the atmosphere any
where on the lake. The food was great, but the service was slow. It can't be cheap getting good help and good food down that winding road, so a
great $9 pulled pork sandwich that was huge is not unreasonable.

To each his own I guess.
My sandwich was great as well, but reviewing the NEW menu...
$20 bucks for a piece of fish is a bit pricy as far as I'm concerned.
...and yup, I know I can go elsewhere!
as for the leasing part. Fishtales is the 'forefront' of WCM the way I see it. JMO
I didn't see a sign that read "We are leased and not a part of WCM". jist sayin
ready for summer!

If you want value and processed foods, go to McDonalds. Atmosphere, decent food, location...all come at a price. We run the lake in overpriced, gas
guzzling water toys, pay through the nose for fuel, then complain about paying an extra couple bucks for a meal that is brought to us, on the water,
surrounded by the things we like. I challenge anyone to show me a hand pressed beercheese, cheeseburger as good as Fishtales served up at some fast
food joint.

We are headed there today for lunch, we had a great experience last year. Nancy, if you are reading this, the last time we talked was at the Lee Civic
Center in Ft Myers this winter.

One thing I noticed they are sure taking a hit on the beverage sales...unless the law has changed sure were a lot of wine bottles, a whiskey bottle
poking out of a cooler, beer cans, and coolers (actually a couple of the tables have removable centers for beer and ice) on the tables with people who
were just hanging out after eating. Be a nice BYOB party area when a band is playing. When they need bouncers I know a couple about 7' @ 380 lbs.
Nothing like a few bottles of loud mouth to keep a party going.

The best one I seen sitting @ Fishtales was when a go fast with twin S.C. Mills parked right up against the dock of Fishtales dining area...Imagine
the sound....OK a while after the go fast has parked people come up to sit in the TALL chairs enjoying the view and order. Go fast boat load are done
eating leaving the inside dining area.. go to boat and .....FIRE IT UP.... Two women fall out of the tall chairs startled by the noise of the boat
while they are eating. Priceless...Moral of story never eat at Fishtails with your back to the water and be care full in those tall chairs.

I wish the marina office would be advised of the restaurant hours. I called and was told the restaurant closed at 8:00 PM but I read on the forum
they were only open for lunch on Sunday so assumed they were wonrg. We went about two and they were open. Service was not good, food was not as good
as past Wednesday when we went. They also were out of some items. They closed at 3 and turned away three boats. Not sure why as there were several
people still eating. The pork sandwiches are pretty good and quantity is there to offset price. Service was very good on my other visit, so depends
on wait staff. Still training I hope.

Straight from the Owners who ran the restaurant last year. They are not running it again this year so I cannot comment any further on food or service
comparing to what was in the past.

We appreciate the constructive criticism! We've taken your comments and suggestions into consideration and are making a few changes:
Restaurant Hours: Friday and Saturday 11AM ET through last seating at 9PM ET; Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 11AM ET through last seating at
8PM ET. Closed Tuesdays for now.
Breakfast: Stay tuned! We're working on adding weekend breakfast hours!
Boat parking: If the courtesy piers in front of the restaurant are full, please come around the new restroom/exercise room building and park along
our main walkway. Our Crew can help direct you.
Thanks to all for your patience. We're building a restaurant business that can serve you for years to come, but we need to walk before we can run.
On a positive note, we have heard numerous rave reviews on the food, including the Mahi sandwich, Ribs, Fish tacos, Salmon candy, Pulled Chicken and
Pork and much much more. The generous portions may have you asking for a take-home box!

Kudos to you Nancy for hearing your customers. I don't think one could ask much more from someone than a response like that... I can't wait for the weekend breakfast announcement!
(I really didn't want RE3 fixing breakfast for
me)

Nancy,
Great work. I know there used to be a Non-smoking section - can you add a NON-Cousin Ronnie Section so that me, my family, and in-laws can enjoy our
meals and the ambiance without the health hazards that exposure to Cousin Ronnie brings?

Below is my unbiased and unprofessional restaurant review from 3 weeks ago, yes before they were open. I thought it was pretty darn good then and all
they had was Bar-B-Q.
AND to be fair I think all the "on the water restaurants" are a little higher priced than say a similar meal on shore but I expect to pay more and for
some reason food always taste MUCHO better on the water.
I posted this on 5/29/12

opened.
BUT they did have a limited menu selection and it was pretty good.
Here is my Lake Cumberland official restaurant review.
Service = A+++
We hadn't even set down for a minute and a very nice lady named Karen came over offered to get drinks and apologized for the limited menu. The kitchen
is still in re-hab. She was one of the best waitresses I have had in a while. Very friendly, efficient, and professional. I really liked her attitude
and she is a local gal. She got the 20+% tip and I was glad to give it.
Food = B+
It was just OK! Again a limited selection of Bar-b-que mostly on panini bread. Good and I ate it all but I specifically asked for extra sauce and glad
I did. It was still kind of dry. I like a lot of sauce. Frys and cold slaw were good. I know they will do better when the kitchen is open.
Ambiance = A
This would have been an A+++ but who ever picked out the back ground music needs some help. Michael Buble is not the kind of music that should have
been playing at a dockside cafe. Steel drums, Reggae, Country Rock...anything but that! I kind of like Michael Buble sometimes but not in that
settings. Otherwise this is a perfect place for a cafe. Excellent decor and surroundings.
Prices = A+
Based on the menu they had and the new one posted on the door I think its very reasonable. No complaints there.
Selection = C for now... but will be an A+ later
Sorry but 5 or 6 sandwiches, all pulled, pork, chicken or beef Bar-B-que doesn't get it for selection but it was better than nothing. AGAIN I'm pretty
sure there will be a vast improvement on this after looking at the new menu. (Hurry UP guys!)
Anyway OVERALL rating = A
It will only get better and I encourage every one to give it a try when they get the remodel rehab done. Its going to be great.

Love the suggestions, Scooter! I might go for the sand, but forget the bugs. We want that Key West feel without the pests!
Thanks for the great reviews. All kudos go to Med & Susan and their staff running the show!

I ate there last Saturday night. I showed up around 6:00pm CT and was able to pull my boat right up. Short 5 minute wait for a table, which I was a
little surprised at. But I had an hour+ long wait for the actual food after ordering. The waitress was extremely apologetic about the wait. She was
very nice. It was peak eating time. It just sounds like the kitchen is too small for the volume of folks. The food was good. I had Fish Nacho's,
kids had BBQ and Grilled Cheese. Everyone seemed happy. I'd give the food a B. The atmosphere an A+. The service folks an A, but the time to
getting the food a C-.
Another note: I had to do a double take as I walked past a table and saw a frosty mug of "yellow water with foam on top" sitting on a table. Saw
another table with a chilled wine glass with some sort of "pink'ish liquid" in it. I thought for a moment that the county finally entered the 21C.
Seems like you can ask for a glass to put your own liquid into it.

Ate for the first time at Fish Tails today. Inititally had slow service but then a young lady came around and was doing re-fills for all the drinks.
Prior to that, had empty glasses for about 10 minutes. I thought the prices were a little high after reviewing the menu. The food was delivered in a
very timely manner, we were a table of 9, and the portions were huge, couldn't eat it all. For the money the portions were good. Overall great
experience. The service was great, after the first 10 minutes. Will definately return for the fish tacos.
