6th Annual Cruisin' for the Cure

Hello Ladies,

It's that time of the year again for the Ladies of the Lake to host our annual Cruisin' for the Cure fundraiser to raise money to help fight breast cancer.

This year's cruise is June 23, 2012 and will leave out of State Dock. The cost of the cruise is $75 and includes lunch, beverages and a 4 hour houseboat cruise with live & silent auctions. This event is a ladies only cruise.

For some of you die-hard OSU fans looking for something special for your guy's Man-Cave, this year we have a framed, signed jersey from A.J. Wade, now with the Green Bay Packers. We have a gold & diamond necklace w/retail value of $900, houseboat trip, wine tasting packages and many, many more great items.

As always State Dock has been a major supporter of this fundraiser by donating the use of two of their large houseboats for our use. Thanks Bill!!

There are about 30 spots left on the cruise so if you are interested please contact me asap at lindagilker@windstream.net or contact me at 859-421-4527.

Hope you can join us.

Join us for the 7th Annual \"Cruisin for a Cure\" Breast Cancer Cruise on June 29, 2013

I could be mistaken but I thought earlier in the yr there was a post about it being this weeknd. But maybe it had to be changed due to the hb show. Either way, I dont know what squak is trying to say.
Oh well, no big deal. I'm sure it will sell out as always.

It's always a good time! They usually go up Wolf Creek and turn around. If your out and about in your new ride cruise on by and blow the horn. I would like to see it. You might see a bunch of good lookin wimens on there too.

You could always volunteer to be a member of the "Boob Crew".

I usually "buzz" by, not too close of course. I thought they went up the main lake a short bit but that might not be the best idea with a poker run going on. :)
I tried to volunteer for the crew one yr and was told it was a 10yr wait, at least. No one will give up their position. Can't says I blame them though. :D

A Handful of Tickets Left!!!

Ladies,

There remain just a handful of tickets for this coming Saturday's Cruisin' for the Cure Breast Cancer Fundraiser. This is one of the best days you can spend on LC and do so much good at the same time! This year's Cruise departs State Dock Marina at 12:00pm Eastern Time (11am CT) with registration beginning at 11:am ET at State Dock near the stage area.

Registration cost is $75 with beverages and lunch provided. There will be live and silent auctions with many amazing items. Many auction items are one of a kind, handmade and just truly spectacular. You have to experience it to believe it!

Ladies, let the "Boob Crew" wait on you hand and foot for the duration of the Cruise. This is YOUR DAY to relax, smile and enjoy being a lady!

A friend of a friend sent me some inside information and pictures from the 6th annual Cancer Cruisin for a Cure!
It was another Great Success for a very worthy cause!

Please see GT Smith's pictures when he post them for the whole story.

Now I don't know what this guy was selling but it could have been that tequilla shot belt there.
Girls... if you didn't make it this year...you sure missed a great party.;)

Now you may not recognize the guy in this picture.
That is DJCardinal with hair and minus...70 lbs.
By the way DJ played some fantastic tunes and did his usual outstanding job. Lot of gals were dancing the light fantastic before they docked.

Also in that picture I think you can see Mrs Dr Nautica aka Joy Dyson one of the primary sponsers and organizers of the event. Her and Big Red do a fantastic job every year.

You might also see someone else in that picture...LC Addict.

Speaking of Big Red aka Linda Gilker she is in this picture waving away. If it weren't for her and Joy Dyson there wouldn't be a Cruise and they both deserve a big THANK YOU for all the dedication and hard work they put into this event.

The lady in black standing beside Big Red is a huge supporter of this cause and a lot of other causes in the area. If you need some beautiful unique jewelery designed by her ...see Designs Unlimited in Lexington. She deserves your business.

Lot of guys gave up a day on the lake to serve the ladies and be a member of the BOOB CREW. Thanks goes to them also.

Just got a bad shot of the back of Dr Nautica here serving as a bartender. I think if you look close that's his son standing in front of him.

And a very special moment of each cruise is the flower cermony.
Each lady is given a flower to toss in the lake in rememberance of someone.

The cruise is not just about the party, its about remembering the fight against cancer.

Most sincere thanks to all of this year's Cruising' for the Cure participants, volunteers and donors! Everyone seemed to have a great time and, once again, the weather Gods smiled upon us. I'm sure Linda will announce the final tally for the Susan G. Komen Foundation donation as soon as all the dust has settled.

Thanks again to all!
