Shattered vehicle window on Lakeview Drive - GOOD NEWS!
We were down over the weekend and woke up Sunday morning to a shattered back window on our SUV. Heard later that they also hit a vehicle and house
down the street the same night. Not much inside our vehicle to steal and nothing was taken, so it was apparently just a hateful act. Some have
speculated that whoever did this didn't even get out of the car.
We had worked out tails off all day and still had tons of work to do, so we lost a half day just cleaning up, reporting it to the sheriff and
recovering from the anger that left us wondering why/who does things like this.
Not sure what they broke it with, but heard later it might have been a 22, but found no evidence to support that theory. Drove home on Monday with
visqueen and duct tape over the damage and the cost to replace the window and frame was over $900.
Just thought I'd let everyone know and see if anyone else heard of similar situations. I checked the on-line version of the Somerset paper and
couldn't find anything on it.....

It's the Lakeview Drive that runs beside Guthrie's restaurant in Somerset/Burnside.

They got my rear glass on Monday. Would like to catch the punks and put their pellet gun where they would not like it.

They are prolly the same punks
That took out mailboxes along Oak Hill last year. Though one of the culprits in that had a tragic accident in early spring of last year (drowned). I
know this because when the father of that young lad found out about his son's pranks, He made him go back and replace every mailbox and face the
owners. Unfortunately the young man drowned in a kayak accident that next spring, I believe.
These same punks also get their kicks setting cars up for eggings. Seems they get a kick out of being timed perfectly to throw eggs from the back of a
moving pickup truck while your cruising in the on-coming lane at normal speed (minding your own business). Trust me... it's
a[Censored]of a surprise!
Just punks!!!

I was wondering about something.
Let's say for arguments sake you were inconspicuously (hiding) standing near your car with your 9 mm automatic when these punks drove by and shot out
or just at your car window.
If you returned fire fully emptying a clip into their car...would this be "self defense"??

Were they shooting at your car or at you?? The pellet gun looked like a 22 semi-auto, right?? Sounds defendable to me, but I'm no lawyer...

Not when you word it that way, But ...if what REALLY happened was that you were walking to your car and these fellas came driving up and started
yelling "we're gonna kill you!"....then opened fire.... and after dodging numerous shots somehow luckily and since you were trapped between your car
and their car with no where to run, you did the only thing left to do was take out your gun and shoot in their general direction hoping to scare them
off. You musta justa been unlucky to hit every one of them in the chest and head area.
I fear that proper vocabulary and language skills are being lost in this country.
