I'm a UK graduate / fan. It's a pretty sad state of affairs if you ask me. I don't think ANYONE is "scared" to play each other. This is what these people live for...that and getting paid. Money / greed won out here folks. Plain and simple. UK knows that they can fill any arena and they want a bigger purse and you aren't going to get a purse from playing in IU's arena and we can sell out home games in RUPP against high school teams. "Neutral sites" equals more money in the purse. BTW, Calapari got a raise today.

I do say that I like Coach Cal strolling down the streets of Louisville's Derby parade yesterday with the NCAA trophy. That man has some balls.

Keep telling yourselves that UK is afraid to play you. Joke of the year. College sports is about the almighty $$$$. Try to understand that. Indiana couldn't beat UK at a neutral site, they know it, we know it. Even if UK played in a neutral site in Indiana it would be a home court crowd for UK, they know, we know it.
AND UK STUDENTS AND FANS NEVER RUSH THE BASKETBALL COURT!
WHY???????BECAUSE WE EXPECT TO WIN!

Storming the court is uncalled for but burning couches and causing riots after the U of L game isn't????? TOOOO FUNNY. To quote your coach.

"The state of Kentucky is so connected to this program. It's the commonwealth's team," coach John Calipari told reporters Sunday. "They go overboard sometimes."

Well look at you, changing the topic of this thread. You cry about it in another thread and do it in this one, typical for a "so called" intelligent Louisville fan, go cry about it on FB.

What I am about to say many will doubt...but I promise you this is the honest to God truth . I even recorded it..... then made sure my girlfriend watched it so I had someone to back me up on this . I would still have this recorded , but with the fiber optic upgrade they replaced my dvr with a new one so I've lost it but do have my 1 witness . ok....here goes .

I was watching a Calipari interview and he said in his own words.......

" You know Indiana is getting pretty tough, Creen has done a wonderful job at Indiana . They are looking so good in fact, that I may want to drop them from our schedule !! "

I SWEAR TO YOU..... I may not have it perfect word to word but that is what he said . I could not believe it ! Yes, I was born and raised close to I.U.....but I'm telling you the truth ! That is what he said .
I've had a lot of fun with the boys at work over this one . But let me tell you we are all stunned....that is to big of a rival game to throw out...no matter what the circumstances . GO I.U. !

Here is the latest.

UK-Indiana series talks stall again

INDIANAPOLIS -- Negotiations to keep the Kentucky-Indiana series going have broken down for the second time.

Indiana officials announced May 3 that they could not reach a deal to extend the contract, which expired after last season.

According to a letter between the school's two athletic directors obtained Wednesday, negotiations resumed on May 10 and didn't end until Kentucky's DeWayne Peevy contacted Indiana officials on May 24 to reject the offer.

Indiana athletic director Fred Glass wrote that he would agree to play games in 2012 and 2013 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis if the next two games were played on campus. Indiana also offered to share a $100,000 buyout to move a conflicting game.

The letter says Kentucky declined.

Let me add my two cents. The main reason the series has been cancelled is the result of the unbelievable behavior by "Bobby's Brats." Yes the fan vulgarities and rabid abuse of Kentucky's players and fans was the worst in America this past season. I was not at the game but from film and folks I've talked to all agreed that this was the absolute worst in sportsmanship shown by any team all year no contest. Bobby Knight is no doubt responsible for inciting most of this type of behavior against Calipari and the Cats.

So there you have the inside scoop on not the only reason but the main reason for the cancellation of the series. Have a nice day..............Southforkwally

EXACTLY. But we must remember IU basketball fans were used to Bob Knight, so their behavior really doesn't surprise me.

Thanks for making me ROFLMFAO. That's the most ridiculous excuse I've heard yet. Wanna know the real reason?? Because they got beat and they are skeered it will happen again. End of story.

What dog does UL have in this fight? I don't really care whether the Cards agree over playing sites with Memphis. Why the obsession with all things UK? If it ain't envy then what is it?

I said nothing about the CARDS. I was born in Indiana and have always been an IU fan. I liked Kight and I like Cream. In fact I like them both much better than Pricky. The whole thing is just funny to me. From the stories I've read, it looks like IU is really trying to get this done and Y-uk wants nothing to do with it.
