martin's supply

good news to hear the alligator inn hasn't called it quits... anyone know when and if martin's supply is going to reopen? the sign in the door still says will reopen in the spring. will miss the convenience of the fuel, last minute groceries, and the pleasant owners if it doesn't.

kyvols, went to Eli plaza for gas today and swung done to Martins to check, sign on door still said see you in spring, also sign on building stating business for sale. The girl working at Eli Plaza did not know anything about the status of Martins.

I was talking to Rick the owner of Martins last fall before he closed for the winter, and he told me that he was not sure if he would reopen in the spring due to sales being down. He also told me that he was not getting any local support in the off season. I hope that he and his wife do reopen, this is a very nice store for everthing from food to gas to all kinds of hardware and marine parts.

He offered it to me to buy last fall or so.

You have to figure half of the business he used to have is gone. It is a shame.

That would be a good location for Marine Assist Don, nice storage yard, workshop area, ride across the hollar on the 4 wheeler to work, lol.

That is a bummer. I use Martins all summer long for gas, ice and all kinds of odds and ends. And they sell gas without ethanol. Does anyone else in the area sell gas without ethanol?
