Assumption.. Had to be another houseboat or large cruiser to do that type of damage.
A neighbor? My boat is on a end slip. Rentals constantly get way too close. They never compensate for wind or the swing of a turn. I finally removed my pwc bunks from the rear. :(
Feel your pain.

Know how you feel, had a hit and run bend the crap out of my rear stanchion summer before last.

On the other side of the coain, had a gentleman from another dock (I think it was Jamestown) pull into an empty slip beside me about 5 years ago, and somehow knocked my roof drain off. Left me a note and phone # to contact him to take care of the damage. Now that's how it should be done. The damage was minimal, just had to reset the screws and put a little chalk on it. But I called him anyway, just to thank him for leaving the note.

They bounced of another boat a few slips down before they KO'd mine. Bent their slide, knocked their jet ski off the bunk.

I'm over it. Just feel sorry for the marina and neighbors the boat relocated to. You are right Ahab, what goes around comes around and sometimes it comes around like a freight train.:P

Saw the damage on Gasman's boat myself this past Sat. Would be surprised if it was NOT another houseboat - it was SIGNIFICANT! Can't imagine anything less than 30' doing that type of damage.

Thanks again Gasman for the hospitality!

Four (4) kids under 10, baseball games this weekend for the oldest, and I am going to the Pacer playoff game tonight. My wife is very understanding and accomodating .... but it is not infinite.

I will see you later this summer. Baseball ends 2nd week of June and then 'game on.'

Gasman I have a question and you certainly do not have to answer if you don't want to....but you mentioned it twice...this guy is going to a different marina. You leave the impression you know who did this and where he is going to be next.
Can you at least tell us where this (*&^% is going to strike next?

Again its understandable if you don't wish to respond. ;)

2 weeks ago several of us on the 900 row saved 2 slides from sure destruction. A boat was going back to the 1100 row and got all out of shape. Wind was up pretty strong!

Too funny, NOW. It was also a card fans boat I was beside helping keep you off of. When it comes to things like that it would never matter with me if you are a Card fan. You need help, I'm there.
