Sure that's not where you would store your generator? :)

I think Igloo supplies a lot of those models you see that come with the boats. I would check their site for dimensions.

I've looked everywhere. I have resorted to sending a e-mail to Coleman and Stokleys Marine. Thanks on the Igloo info I'll try to contact them too.

E you should have waited and you could have picked up this beauty!
Its right up your alley being a Dodge and everything.
In your price range and easy to trailer, just put it right back on the truck.

OMG that is hilarous.

BTW, Stokleys replied and said they had no clue on the cooler size etc but said it was most likely an igloo. Sure hope igloo gives me a better reply.

He don't have the boat right now and he has went above and beyond what someone could expect already. I'll have the boat this weekend (hopefully) but I just wanted to see what the proper one for the boat was if it was still made.

I have not as I have not needed it during the day and I have been on shorepower at night. (but if I need it I got it) lol

I did run it at home and it is VERY quiet. Huge soft rubber feet = no vibrations.

Don't worry about the weight, it may help you plane out quicker. One added bonus is at the raft up, the line in front of you won't be able to cut your anchor line when they get tangled up.;)

Big Congratulations my friend. It has been fun watching and jabbing with you while following your journey. I hope you have many enjoyable days, and nights, aboard your new craft.

Really I need to let the chain out and see how much chain I have already (I think I have more than I thought) but I have already been looking at some chain prices and found somwhere that sells the hot dipped galvanized G4 1/4 chain for $2 a foot which is around $1.04 or so less than the lowest price I have seen anywhere else.

Does anyone know of a connector for this size chain that will work to connect G4 1/4 to G4 1/4 and will work with a windlass?

If I can't connect the old and new chain it makes a difference on how much I buy.

Like we discussed, I would probably let out what you have and see how much is there. It may cost more to get a new link welded than the extra chain would cost. That weld spot is going to rust almost instantly anyway.

As far as the coupler, that chain is a specific size for your windless and unless the coupler is a good match, it might damage your windless.

I put 200 ft. and sometimes used almost off of it. You want to color code about the last 10 feet so you don't jam the windless when it reaches the end.

Have fun at the raftup. Remember to get their early.

Nervous, I have anchored out the last two trips down and have not been in slips (has been wonderful) Generator now has several days/evenings of use and it works great. The only problem is that the wife stays down in the cabin in the AC and reads her nook. She at least has the nice windows to look out onto the lake from I guess and since not at home she does not have to worry about doing anything else. The yamaha was a great choice as it can power the battery charger and AC and TV at the same time. If the AC kicks off it shuts the tv off when it comes back on but I have learned to just not let it turn off or if the cabin does get too cold and it shuts off I turn the tv off right before it kicks on and all is good. I shut the AC off when I first start the water heater and the AC is always off when running the microwave. None of that is a big ordeal or problem. Filling the gen up and having a 2 gallon gas can as well will get you through about any weekend. While down for 4 days this last time I used maybe 4 gallons. Thus far no marina has had an issue with filling it or the can. I think they just don't want cans being carted down the docks and them not selling fuel.

The only time the CO detectors went off was while the engine/generator had been shut off for several hours and my wife/baby were taking a nap in the aft cabin. they must have had the curtain sealed too tight and it beeped a couple times after they had been napping for about a hour. I cracked the curtain and it didn't do it again (sensitive things those detectors are).

Its a tough decision CRWKY. I think one has been taken better care of and has a trailer but the other has the engine and options I want.

I'm leaning towards the Bayliner and then getting a new enclosure, a good compound and wax job, new trailer bunks/carpet/maybe some paint/ check tires and a Marine assist axle/brake check up, new snap in carpet, (a redneck portable generator lol), two spots need gelcoat repair where it was chipped off (not caved in like that one boat I looked at), maybe a bigger swim platform, and a fresh oil change, outdrive oil change/paint, and water pump. Then I guess all I really would have to worry about is how long that old engine will last.

getting a new enclosure, - CHECK
a good compound and wax job, - Not quite but good enough for now. Doubt I will use LakeCumberlandDetailing again.
new trailer bunks/carpet/maybe some paint/ check tires and a Marine assist axle/brake check up,- CHECK
new snap in carpet, Decided against thanks to direction from everyone on the forum
(a redneck portable generator lol), -- CHECK
two spots need gelcoat repair where it was chipped off (not caved in like that one boat I looked at), undecided on what I will do with this.
maybe a bigger swim platform, [- CHECK
and a fresh oil change, - Oil was still honey color when I got the boat
outdrive oil change/paint, - oil not needed and paint was better after being cleaned. Then had some work done that required drive removal (steering pin and water hose) so I am guessing it got changed one or two times this summer anyway.
and water pump. - CHECK
Then I guess all I really would have to worry about is how long that old engine will last - fingers crossed

I will never be able to say thanks enough to DCH Marine (Towboatcaptain) aka Marine Assist aka Captain Don for helping me through the sale of my old boat, the purchase of this one, and all the work that was done above and trying to help me stick to a tight budget. He is (in my book) a great man and I am glad we have him in the area. This was basically volunteer/charity work for him as most of the jobs went to other companies.

Hey E, have you checked to see if your nav lights work at night? I'd hate to see you stopped while out and about if they aren't working....

DCH Marine installed new ones and a new stern light so I can be pretty confident they work however I did check the nav lights the other day just because I guess you always should before you plan to be out at night. ;) Stern light I was not too worried about plus I have a backup battery stern light (had a bacup set of nav lights but I think they plopped in the lake while I was not paying attention.

There was no hidden meaning. He has always taken great care of us. I have referred a number of people to him with 35 to 38 ft boats and he alway's seems to find somewhere to put fit them in, even if it means he move a wall.

HELP!, lol I have been lazy/forgetful this summer and kept forgetting to measure my boat and trailer EVERY friggin time. Now it sits down in Jabez horus away and I still have no clue how long the boat and trailer are when together.

Does anyone have the same boat as me with a swim platform on a trailer and know how long theirs is? I have a opportunity on a 35' unit but I am pretty sure it would be about a foot or so too short but maybe I am wrong.

It is in what I think is a 40' unit right now and it has extra room on both ends. Just wondering if someone knew or knew someone who might know what the overall on trailer length might be so I can work things out this week before I head down.

Thanks, E

E, did you ever get the length overall for your boat measured?

Just saw your post and was going to suggest the reviews on BoatTest dot com who have all the vitals on darn near every boat made.
