UPDATE

After my triple bypass, I am doing great. Was released in less than 4 weeks and went back to work. I am in rehab at the hospital 3 times a week and getting stronger each time. It is truly a miracle what they can do in todays times. Hope to be ready by the boating season.

Amazing. This proceedure in the past usually took several months to recover. My Father-In-Law took almost a year before he felt 100%.

You must be in excellent heath otherwise or your Nurse is doing everything right. ;)

Great News!

Good news $pare! I had my surgery (5) on a Sunday and was released on Thursday!
The following Friday they had me on a treadmill doing a 'stress test'. Amazing!

Have you had one of those 'nuclear' stress tests yet?

It started with the nuc test. I was feeling some pain and doc said it's been a year. Did the test and he said I was good for another 10 years. So off I went to Dubai, then when I returned a week later my wife and I went on a cruise. The last 3 days of the cruise I got the pain again, but more severe, took a notro and all was good. When I got home called the doc, he said to do a heart cath. Did it the following Fri. Once he was in he found an 100% closed and a 70% and a 50%. Took me by ambulance to another hospital where they did the triple bypass. After speaking to several docs they all said the same thing. The nuc stress test is not always a true reading. The only true test is a heart cath.

I've had two nuc tests. Both times I got a clean bill of health and both were followed by heart attacks within four months. First one earned me a 5 banger bypass and the 2nd a stint.
