Start of the season

What is your very first objective/concern when you go down to the boat for the first time after the winter season?

And yes, I know where this will lead, "my first objective is the same as any other weekend.. put beer in cooler with ice :)"

My first objective is to belly flop off the boat and float in the cool water with the hot sun beating down. Just to perfect.

First is to make sure that someone hasn't stolen the boat. Then it's, what is the condition? Have any animals decided to make it their home. Then it turns to preping for the first outing. Make sure the batteries are charged, oil is at the right level, gas is full, etc.

Beer in the cooler is never a concern as I make sure that is done before we even leave the house!!

For our family it is much more than just the boat. It is also usually our first time down so we have to open our place and like jazzgirl said, clean, clean, clean everything. We also are always so excited to see our lake family. After hooking up the battery, checking fluids, and doing a test dry run, except for wiping off the dust, our boat is ready to go. :)

I would have to say that my first objective is to appreciate the dock beneath my feet, the surroundings, and lake family. Connelly's first objective is to figure out the cleaning order...

And Sixpack.... I know. Had you in mind for that one!
