I saw a post over on another forum about it, below is the thread. Looks like it was never weighed and most likely was not anywhere near 11lbs.

They claim that fish is 7 #.
My son caught 6.5# Smallie near GHD (we weighed it on an electronic scale) and this fish is MUCH larger.

This fish is every bit of TEN POUNDS folks. TEN POUNDS.

It is, by FAR, the largest Small Mouth Bass I have EVER seen !!!!

It deserves to be posted here!

It's a nice fish, no doubt, but there is no reference point to judge its actual size. In fact, the pose is the typical, "hold it out in front of the camera" pose, which makes it look quite large. My dad took pictures of me holding perch when I was a kid that looked 20 pounds.

The best reference point is her hands vs. the size of the head and the girth in front of the tail. A nice fish yes, but a 10 pounder?

Her elbow is at her side. The fish is NOT being held way out front. I know, I use that trick too.

I calibrated length off the patch AND her sunglasses and the on the conservative side it comes out to 30 inches.

It might nine pounds, but that fish looks to be stocky.
