Joe,
Always a bunch for sale. I suggest to try and check the Marina Sales Websites such as Elite and also Terry's. Lot's to choose from and also a lot of new ones available.

Perfect time to buy a houseboat. With the number of houseboats 4-sale I would say a lot of people are over extended financially so you might be able to steal one from one of those pretenders. What is your price range?

Word of advice, have a mechanic look at ANY boat you want to buy. Otherwise you end up buying a boat you can barely afford and then get blindsided with a repair...just my $.02

EXCELLENT advice!
Especially now that there are so many boats sitting at the docks that have not been properly maintained. When money is tight, folks sometimes fail to do the proper repairs to gelcoat roofs, sanitation devices, plumbing, batteries, engines, etc.

I've owned many boats but always relied on that old saying :
"If it leaks anywhere or anything, don't buy it!
If it smells bad, don't buy it!
If a prop is bent or the hull dented, don't buy it!
If you can't take it out for a test drive, walk away!"
