My wife pre-makes Wraps. She takes a spinach wrap with your choice of fillings, wraps it up tight, into foil, into the cooler. Bring along a tub of
chip dip as a condiment. Its weird because you have to find the right wrap for it. These are real soft tortillas. She puts like two layers of
cheese and ham, roast beef, smoked turkey. They turn out great, not very cooler space consuming and stay for days. She got burnt a few weekends back
and RedNeckYachtClub told her to start a company down there called "Red Belly Wraps" We also bring some cut up fruit (cherries are awesome idea) with
a few small bags of chips.
We've been staying out on the water so long these days we ended up buying a used Magma Grill and packing hamburgers/hotdogs/kebobs to throw on for
dinner.

I've learned my lesson:
1) Harris Grocery in Jabez will make these awesome sandwiches and wrap them up for you. Ham & Cheese, Turkey & Cheese, Bologna, Roast Beef, whatever.
They really throw the meat to the sandwiches on very fresh bread, slap whatever condiments on there for you to boot. And CHEAP!
2) Spicy chicken wings from Jamestown Marina - taste better cold actually.
3) Biscuits and spicy sausage patties - again, taste almost better cold. Make 'em for breakfast and have leftovers for lunch.
So many options, so little space.

Sliders--well a version of a slider. Take a pack of sweet Hawaiian rolls (12 to a pack) Slice the rolls and put your favorite ham, turkey, salami,
cheese, etc on them. We prefer to keep the lettuce and tomato in a separate baggie and add when ready to eat. Put the made up rolls back in the
carton/bag they came in. Verticle or horizontal in the cooler is fine. This is great if you got folks in your crew that like different meats because
you can make a variety. Tip: Only put your mayo on the meat--like between two slices of ham and don't let the mayo touch the roll and you don't have
to worry about them getting soggy even if made the night before.

Chicken or tuna salad on little rolls, with some chips or something. I sometimes bring my coleman grill and put a towel on the nose of the boat and
grill out, usually only on a really long day though.

I'm actually thinking of making several long day trips this year and wondering what is the best food to take. Ideas?
Maybe a run up the "River" aka North Fork as far as I can go. PLUS on another weekend a run up the South Fork as far as I can go. Haven't been to 76
Falls in a while, that's a full day round trip in my pontoon and 80 gallons of gas but its a nice all day trip.
Of course, I'll have a cooler of cold ones handy but what about food? What do you guys pack for long boat trips?

Actually my wife had a good idea a few years back, she cooks a whole chicken and then pulls it apart and makes it shredded barbq chicken. then all you
need is some buns and chips and you've got a nice little meal there. oh yeah don't forget something cold to drink! I like this thing I call a Barley
pop!

"New" discovery last year: Hooters hot wings and strips, bought the night before, kept in cooler, and ready for the lunch the next day. Chicken is
cold, but spice makes you not care.

OK let's see here...celery sticks, carrot sticks, turkey rollups... and BEER!
That at least sounds like a very healthy buzz to me Madcon.
I will agree with ya "All food tastes even better while on the water" but I dunno...that just doesn't wet my appetite for some reason.
I kinda like Jabezboy's idea of Hooter's wings. Picking up the to go order will start the weekend off on the right foot anyway.

We always bring a couple different types of deli meat and a few types of cheese to make lunchmeat sandwiches. This way everyone will have something
that they will eat and it is very easy with very little cleanup. Also, we supplement that with a few bags of chips, doritos, or other snacks. It is
not the most gourmet lunch, but hey when your out there all day long we rarely bring much food back with us. Oh yeah, and def. need some liquid
courage so we find our way back to the dock haha. Keep in mind, that with this type of lunch there is little cleanup and less chance of items being
spilled in the boat, the less cleanup the better.

We love our fruit and veggies. Seems like Turkey is always in the cooler as well and can't forget the liquor, beer and wine.

No Doritos, no Cheese puffs, no anything that transfers color from fingers to boat.
