Fireworks on Dale Hollow?

Are any of the marinas or resorts hosting any professional fireworks on Dale Hollow? I could not find any on the web. I looked at the state parks website and did not see anything for Dale Hollow State Park.

We plan to spend the weekend on the lake, keep the boats at Wolf River.

Thanks.

Willow Grove always puts on a fantastic show. Mitchell Creek did one last year that was pretty good as well. Those are the only two I know of. They did them on different nights last year so we were able to attend both.

Great, thanks.

We keep our boats at Wolf River. If we were wanting to check these out what is the best way to go about this? Maybe rent an overnight slip or camp at the Marina? Are they best viewed from the docks? Where do they set them off, afloat out in the lake or on land?

I did notice in the photos on the Willow Grove web site that it looked like they are shot out on the water. Saw lots of boats ancored out to watch it.

Do most folks motor back to their slips and all at night?

The Albany - Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the local government, sponsors a fireworks show on July 4 - free admission. The show gets underway at about dusk and is at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.

Come on up, we get a lot of lake visitors. It's a real professional show that's pretty impressive for a small community - we pay a pro out of Chicago to do the actual pyro work. The Fairgrounds is actually pretty close to Wolf River and Fairgrounds Road intersects with Wolf River Road about five miles from the Marina.

They shoot the fireworks off from a barge near the shore. Boats generally anchor anywhere outside the no wake zone for the marina. Last year I would estimate several hundred boats where there viewing.

When its over, people slowly make their way back to where they came from. It's a pretty orderly affair.

We were there and the show was great! How do they afford to do such a nice show? It way exceeded my expectations. Thanks for the tip.

Which show did you attend, the one at Willow Grove, or the one at the Clinton County Fairgrounds?
