JabezOrBust,
Glad to hear your pup is doing better. Was he bitten around your house, or down by the lake? Just curious, because we have a yellow lab and we're
located at Wolf Creek Marina.
I have never heard of the bacon grease theory. Could someone elaborate?

Boatergirl - I am way back Cave Springs Road in Cherokee village overlooking Harmon Creek. I was building a deck on my place and Ralph was just
wondering around as he always does, in and out of the woods but never venturing too far...my guess is the water level has pushed the snakes out of
their habitats up closer to houses. My property backs up to the water but I am still 200'-300' away.
Life is better at the lake.

Scary...I guess we really need to keep an eye on our lab when we take her to shore.
Thanks for the info on the vet

Absolutely, I am mailing them a letter today thanking them - I hope the doc that helped me gets recognized for it. In case you all can't tell, i'm
happy with her. LOL.

A dear friend to police officers and members of the Glasgow community has passed away.
Glasgow Police Department's Drug Interdiction K-9, Ranger, passed away on July 20 after being bitten by a rattle snake.
Officer Ranger had served the Glasgow Police Department since 2009.
Several drug related arrests have been the result of Ranger's hard work and exceptional training.
Sergeant Brad Lewis, Ranger's handler, is deeply saddened by the passing of his partner and a loved member of the Lewis family as well as his Glasgow
Police Department family.
There will be a ceremony Wednesday morning at ten at Glasgow Police Department to honor Officer Ranger.
The community is welcome to attend.
