How do you guys post a map section of Cumberland like the one in the Zip Line thread? I copied it as example:

You go to a map, hit alt and prt scrn buttons and then go to something like microsoft paint and paste it and size/edit it. Then save to a file and
upload.
(note some people just hit the prnt scrn button and not the alt with it. The alt button added just gets the active window  )
(also some may want to download and install the Microsoft Picture resizer to resize their pictures - Click Here)
If you have trouble resizing pictures and you have a PC please read below for what I have found to be the easiest way.
Install it on your PC, Just try one of these and if it does not work try the other.
Click here for 32 bit installer -
Click here for 64 bit installer ( a lot of the newer computers)
then select all your pictues you want to post, right click and resize them to the size you want. Depending on the picture source sometiems you can
resize to 600x600 and meet forum guidelines and sometimes you have to go as small as 450x450. The goal is the ever elusive less than 50k mark for the
site. After you resize your pictures right click and go to properties and see if you are at or below 50 in file size. Check the boxes to make
smaller but not larger and leave the other box unchecked.
When you hit ok all the pictures you had selected will be resized to the smaller size and will have the name "custom" at the end of them so it did not
resize the actual files you had seleced but created new ones. Now upload those
new custom ones as they are all sized correctly.

I like using yahoo maps with the hybrid turned on...

Your fine E_. When they are hosted at another website, they can be as
large as the width of the screen. Hint - Hint - Hint. (To Others)
It looks like about a 640 width just fits on the screen.
As for the wakes, I don't need to say a word.

There have been more questions lately about posting maps. Above is how people are posting screenshots or pictures of the maps.
Google has a VERY nice function now for embedding that works on this site. You can also make the map larger than the default 450 or whatever it is by
editing the numbers in the embedd code to something like 800x650 etc. (but I would not go larger than that as to not go outside of others screen
sizes.

Or you could use it in satellite mode which looks MUCH nicer (to get sat mode (WHILE on google maps page just click on the satellite button on the top
right of the map screen and THEN get your link as instructed in the photo from the 07-03-2012 08:55 post above.
