A few changes in the Bunker..

Some of you might have already noticed a few changes today so I want to take a moment to let everyone know what's going on..

First and foremost, we want everyone to be aware that David Davenport "owns" the lakecumberland.com website and therefore, he also "owns" the LC.com Forum. He is the "Boss" -and he always has been. All of the Mod Squad serve at his discretion. We are all volunteers and serve without pay.

Cranky and I have been around for a long time and, due to some medical considerations and a need to spend more time with family, some time ago we both asked Dave Davenport if we could be relieved of our Forum Administrator duties. After due consideration and planning, we are now finally both able to step back from the control panel effective today.

KyAl98 is technically the next most senior Mod but, due to demands of his "real world" responsibilities, he has deferred to Squakmeister who will now take the helm as Forum Administrator. WaterWings will also be an Administrator and KyAl98 and Quickiemonster will round out the Team as Super Moderators.

Cranky will be available for technical support as needed but otherwise he chooses to participate as a Member. My status as "Moderator Emeritus" is similar to Cranky's except that I will be in the Bunker for a little while as I am in the middle of a small project relating to the Forum history.

I join Dave and Cranky in asking for everyone's support (and patience) as we move forward.

Hate to see you guys pull back but I understand completely. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Squak but I am sure the forum is in capable hands. Not sure why in the heck you all would give that dang WaterWings the keys to the castle though... I mean geeez! :P lol :D That guy is just a immature doofus!

Keep up all the good work !

I have a question Straydawg is listed as Mod but not listed in any of the sub forum duties and was not listed in the above post so is he or is he not a Mod??

Mod Note: Stray was the first Mod so designated. Unless he declares otherwise, he is still a Mod. However, because of the demand of his "real world" commitments, he is on a LOA of sorts. He still participates when he can. C.B.

Exactly. Hope this works well for all. Only time will tell if it helps with the "drama". Ooops! Am I allowed to say that? I personally have never had a problem with any of the mods but know there have been "issues". Thanks to CB and Cranky for all your efforts and best wishes for the "new" guys.

Sorry to see you both go. I have met both of you and think very highly of you both. You both used common sense when things got a little rough, and I for one appreciated that. When dealing with this many folks and many different personalities one must have a very open mind. I hope all remains the same, well at least most of it.

Captain's Compliments..

Well, the new crew has been on duty for 6 weeks now and I want to compliment them on the fine work they have been doing.

The ol' Forum is on course, building steam and looking shipshape. New folks are coming on board every day and they seem to be quite comfortable --most of them have already posted and added to the enjoyment of the cruise.

BTW, it sure is a lot more relaxing just sitting back here on the fantail enjoying the ride, chatting with fellow "passengers" and knowing someone else is doing all the work.
--Lazy Livin' I call it! :)

Thanks, Squak, 'Wings, Al, Quickie --and, of course, Dave!
