Personally I think GHD has the best character on the lake. Reflects a nice family atmosphere and a 50's kinda style.

Better trash pickup on the weekends would be a great improvement.

I think his boat is still there. (Never E Nuff). The other 37 was repo'd. Talked to the Banker that had it. It was shipped to Florida.

Yes I noticed a few empty slips as well.

Lakeman are there any problems with the ramp slab being flood'ed before it had cured?

The concrete had several days to cure before it was inundated. As long as the wave action does work to hard on it, it will be fine. The concrete will continue to cure under water and that will not affect its ultimate strength. There may be some small pop-outs that would be bad aesthetically if it were a garage floor, but won't hurt a ramp. Any significant washouts can be grouted before they push the ramp into the water.

Rick, assuming the lake goes down, will you have to schedule the "push in". I'd love to be there if I had a days notice.

Rick, other questions, How thick is the ramp 6"to 8", What will they use to push it into the water, dozer or excavators or trucks, Is this a local contractor and did the Corps, the state or Grider Hill foot the bill???

the contractor will schedule when to push it in.
the slab is 6in thick, most likley use a dozer to push it in, the corps paid for this one. Ghd most likley pay for side's to match up the cement.

Rick

I sent a email back on 2/09/07 and I still have not heard back on my answers. You seem to be the only person at Grider who is willing to answer any of our questions. I did see that Backflow preventers will be installed on the water system this year....That was one of my issues I had. So I know someone did read my email at least.

Rick, can you please find out and post what the 3 to 5 year plan is for the marina for us. Most of us I feel would like to know what is ahead for us. We were told or read things would pretty much stay the same back in Jan....I think to a point they are but things are also changing.

What is the status of the fuel pier? Are new pumps being added or just extending it with old pumps? Also, we were told by the end of March we should have free Internet up and running. Is this still going to happen within 3 weeks?

Rick. I do not think there is one dock renter who is upset with you.....On the contrary you are the only person taking your own personal time to keep us up to date with what is going on and answering as many questions as possible.

I said I would give Grider a chance this year.......But if I had to hand out a report card at this time it's going to be a low C

I use to have the feeling that I belonged to a "family" Well, The days of Tony or Betty telling Jason hello by name are long gone........ I think the best way to sum up my feelings at this point is we are just a slip number to the new owners and some sucker to pay the bill and there mortgage:(

I second that!

Sort of reminds me of the infamous dock cleanup Betty did years ago, then left town for the weekend and let Tony do damage control. It really should not be Rick's job to handle the politics, but since he seems to be the only one willing to talk to us, we will ask and listen.

waterboy I will do my best to keep eveyone informed, as to the 3 to 5 yr plan is try to keep water under eveyone's boat at 650
the gas pier will be extended wether we ge new pumps this year or not, sould know on the pumps by next week, thing seem to be moveing slow, they are new at this. Tech guys are bring the cumputer nsxt week so the internet sould be soon.
I read you post about the valuve's in the water line, we will make things better when we can, we value eveyone's as a friend and a customer. It's going to take a litte time. I have said before diann is doing a great job for the time she has had
with karen leveing really put her in a bad spot.
haveing to setup a bookeeping system.
hope this helps.

no, the corp has said be ready for 650 winter pool and summer pool of 680. so we have to plan for 650. we are put this plan together now, that what they told the city of albany and others
it is going to cost the city 7mill to move the pumps. they are in the planing stages now. will let bids in april.
Good thing we have deep water to go to. We will be fine, just be glad when we get all of this behind us, so we can do more for the slip customer's
