Lake Cumberland Country Store burglarized

WJRS-104.9, Nov 29 08...

The Lake Cumberland Country Store on U.S. 127 South was burglarized early Saturday morning. Russell County Deputy Sheriff Jeremy England told WJRS News the business was broken into just after 1:00 a.m. and numerous cartons of cigarettes were stolen. The vehicle suspected of being used in the crime was later found burning near the Greasy Creek Bridge, just south of Jamestown.

According to Deputy England, that vehicle was reported stolen from neighboring Clinton County. The investigations into the auto theft and the burglary are continuing.

Just happened to see this again -

UPDATE - 2 gentlemen have been caught - about a year ago - they are both now residing in State Correctional Institutes.

One - plead out early and received around 3 years
2nd - went to court on several of these and other charges and is in for 24 years.
19 on previous charges, 5 & 5 consecutive for that fun weekend they had.

The weekend included stealing 4 vehicles and burning one as well as breaking into 3 stores.

Those Cameras are pesky little things!

I'm so glad the guilty were caught and justice served in this case. But if I were guessing...I'd say they got away with much more than they have ever been charged with...
and the cycle of crime will be filled by the next one looking to make an illegal dollar.
