About this category, and the rules (MUST READ)

This forum category is considered experimental. While we expect it to remain open, we reserve the right to delete it and all posts at any time.

It is a place for those with commercial interests to post notices of their business. These interests *MUST* be related to the use of the lake. A commercial business name and location must be posted. Commercial businesses may not remain anonymous by using only forum nicknames, and a physical location is required.

As this site is operated by a firm with real estate interests, Real Estate listings or discussions may be posted *only* by Lake Cumberland Real Estate. http://lakecumberlandhomes.com Any real estate listing not approved by Lake Cumberland Real Estate may be summarily deleted.

NOTE ABOUT RENTALS: While we do not allow posting of any housing rental of any type on our Trading Post section due to a serious problem with Fair Housing Laws that we experienced, we will allow posting of Vacation Rental property in this category. It must be a rental property that is specifically used for tourism. You must obey all Fair Housing laws and make NO stipulations of any kind as to the type of persons you will rent to. (Note: in any event violations of Fair Housing laws have serious consequences. Be sure you fully observe them.)

All images must follow the size limitations of this forum. Images contained within a post may be deleted at the option of the administrator or the moderators if they are considered -- at the admin discretion -- to not meet the standards of this forum.

Links to sites not on our servers may be removed at any time at our sole discretion.

All original posters should be aware that responses from the general public, who are members of this forum, are possible. While we attempt to maintain a decorum on this forum, it is possible that negative comments about a business may be posted. You should remain active on your threads and respond to issues in order to create a quick resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.

The operators of this web site and all associated interests ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INFORMATION POSTED IN THESE THREADS, or any results from such posted information.

We are NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCORRECT INFORMATION of any type that is publicly viewable.

We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for any information that is against any government regulation, law or ruling. We will attempt to remove any illegal notices, and will remove any such information once we are made aware of it, but we are not responsible for the information appearing on the site prior to removal.

We do not necessarily endorse any business, product or service simply because it is posted in this category.

By posting to or reading the threads in this category, posters and viewers implicity agree to these conditions.

Friends, I'm taking a chance here that this will be a usable and helpful place. I know from many past experiences that you can have the most problems from something you give free, and I hope we can avoid this. If a poster has an issue about something posted or removed from this category, you are welcome to contact me, preferably by the forum's U2U method. The less tense you are in contacting me, the less tense I will be in responding.

Good luck, and enjoy :)

I'm also thinking that all original posts -- ones that start a thread -- should come from the commercial interest. We'll play this one by ear, but if we decide that becomes a hard rule, I may possibly delete non-conforming threads.

Thanks for your consideration as we test this out.

Perhaps you thought allowing commercial announcements was simple. :)

I am hoping this goes first to a moderator or someone who can help me out. I am not at all familar with the "technacalities" of using this board and do not wish to "put my foot in it" before I even get started. I am a new registrant and the owner of a business. I would like to participate in some of the on-going discussions and would like others to know of my business, of course, but I don't want to be doing promotions or anything where they are unwelcome or not allowed. If someone can give me a little direction, I sure would appreciate it. I have read the Commercial Announcements rules, etc, but am just unsure about how to post, how to reply, etc. propman

All posts from a single business/vendor should be located in the same thread. This is a forum for discussion of the business, its offerings and customer questions. It is not to be considered a place for advertising individual products.

I will merge multiple threads from a vendor into a single thread, unless it appears to me to be more appropriate otherwise. Thanks for your consideration.
